State Representative Bob Constan was elected in 2006 to represent the 16th District, which encompasses Dearborn Heights, Garden City, Inkster and Allen Park. Rep. Constan has been a licensed attorney in Michigan for almost 20 years and is in private practice. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Association of Retired Persons Legal Network and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
Rep. Constan is a life long member of the Democratic Party. He is the chair pro-tem of the Dearborn Heights City Council and has been elected to various positions including president of the Dearborn Area Bar Association and precinct delegate. Rep. Constan also has served as an attorney with the Michigan Democratic Party on voter protection issues.
Rep. Constan will fight for good paying jobs in Michigan, funding for education, and accessible and affordable health care for working families in Michigan.
Bob, 47, has been married to his wife, Kim Constan, for 16 years. They are the parents of three children. He is a graduate of Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law.
